Agra: Coronavirus cannot be examined in the Virology Lab of SN Medical College, Agra. As of now, this lab does not have this facility. Samples of suspected patients taken from here are being sent to a lab in Pune. A team of experts from the Department of Microbiology has been formed to take samples of suspected patients. It is also being said that the Virology Lab of the Department of Microbiology remains. In this, there is a facility to examine only the patients of swine flu, dengue, chikungunya, herpes zoster where the suspected patients of Coronavirus have met for the first time in the country. Its investigation will not be done in the virology lab here.

Samples to be sent to Pune for investigation: Samples of suspected patients will be sent to the National Institute of Virology, Pune. A team of doctors of the microbiology department has been formed to take samples of suspected patients. On arrival of the suspected patient, it will be kept in the isolation ward of the emergency, samples will be sent from here to Pune. The Principal of the Medical College, Dr. GK Aneja said that the facility of testing of coronaviruses is not present in Virology Lab. Samples of suspected patients will be sent to Pune and examined.
