Bhubaneswar: The total figure of patients increased to 1,03,536 on Monday after at least 2,602 new cases of corona infection were reported in Odisha. A health department official has told that after the death of ten more people, the figure of the deceased increased to 492. State Health and Family Welfare Department tweeted, "Ten more corona infected died during treatment in hospitals." 

The officer told that out of the new 2,602 cases, 1,561 cases have come up in different centres. At the same time, 1041 other people tested positive for coronavirus. BJD MLA Byomkesh Ray from Chandbali assembly seat also tested coronavirus positive. He informed that 29,758 infected people are still undergoing treatment for coronavirus in different centres and hospitals. While 73,233 people have cured of COVID19. The corona-infected 53 patients have died due to other diseases. The officer has further told that so far 17,89,433 samples of corona infection have been tested in the state.

The cases of corona infection are continuously increasing in the country. On Monday, the number of corona patients crossed 36 lakh. According to data from the Union Health Ministry, 78,512 new cases of corona have been reported in the last 24 hours. During this period, a total of 971 people have died of this infection. According to the data of the ministry, so far 36,21,246 people have been affected by Corona in India. Of these, 7,81,975 are active cases and 27,74,802 patients have been discharged from hospital after treatment.
