New Delhi: With 1,778 new COVID-19 cases reported in the last 24 hours, India's active cases have dropped to 23,087, according to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
The daily case count fell below 2000 for the fourth day in a row. Active cases now account for 0.06 percent of all illnesses in the country. The total number of people infected with COVID-19 in the country is now 4,30,12,749.The death toll has risen to 5,16,543, with 33 daily fatalities, while the number of people rescued has increased to 4,24,70,515 in the previous 24 hours, with 2,542 people rescued.
The national COVID-19 recovery rate climbed to 98.74 percent, with a 1.20 percent case fatality rate. The daily positivity rate was 0.28 percent, while the weekly positivity rate was 0.39 percent, according to the health ministry.
In the last 24 hours, a total of 5,68,471 COVID-19 tests were performed in India. In total, India has conducted approximately 78.36 crore tests. The total number of doses given out in the country as part of the statewide COVID-19 vaccination effort has surpassed 181.56 crore.
