On Thursday, Corona killed seven more people in Punjab. During the last two days in the state, the death toll from Corona rose to 15. The total number of dead has reached 120. Apart from this, along with 142 new positive cases during the last 24 hours, the number of Corona victims in the state has increased to 4769.

According to the Health Department, 2,69,037 suspected patients have been sampled in the state so far. At present 1457 patients are admitted in isolation wards of various hospitals. Of these, a total of 25 patients including 3 from Amritsar, 2 from Jalandhar and 1-1 patients from Pathankot and Patiala are on oxygen support while 5 patients are on the ventilator. Meanwhile, on Thursday, 93 people were discharged from hospital on recovery. The number of patients who beat Corona has increased to 3192.

The 65-year-old resident of Gur Mandi had become corona a few days ago. He was first admitted to Jalandhar Hospital, from where he was referred to DMC Hospital in Ludhiana. He died in DMC on Thursday morning. The deceased was already struggling with heart and high blood pressure disease.

25 new positive cases of Corona have been reported in the city on Thursday. Three patients infected with corona in Amritsar have died. The deceased include 34-year-old young man from Chamrang Road Ekta Nagar, woman (58) resident Haripura and 88-year-old resident Civil Lines. The death toll from Corona in Amritsar has increased to 36. There were 27 new case reports on Thursday. 15 of them came in contact with positive patients. Police personnel working in police station A division, two employees of Vigilance department, five jawans of police line Duburji, five from Katra Khazan's Gali Dei Wali and one positive patient report each from Jamun Road and Sai Amanat Khan.
