In Punjab, SAD chief Sukhbir Badal accused CM Captain Amarinder Singh and the Congress government of issuing false and misleading statements about Wednesday's all-party meeting. Which has cheated the farmers in a way. In a press conference at the party headquarters on Thursday, the SAD president said that the statement issued by the state government about the all-party meeting is a faith-breaking action.
In this, by distorting the facts, an attempt was made to prove that the Akali Dal supported the government's proposals. This is not correct. In the meeting, the Congress supported the Aam Aadmi Party. Apart from him, some political leaders also expressed their close relationship with the government. On this occasion, Sukhbir conducted a video recording of his speech in an all-party meeting and tried to make his stand public. Sukhbir said that by writing a letter to the CM, he has also condemned the Congress party's attempt to mislead farmers by citing their statement.
In his statement, he further said that there was no discussion on the benefits of agriculture and central ordinances in the meeting. I had made it clear that there is no talk of abolishing the mandate on MSP anywhere in the ordinances. Nothing against federalism was written in the ordinances. Sukhbir said that the Akali Dal has a long history of sacrifices in this matter. At the same, Sukhbir said that in the all-party meeting I had assured that the mandating on MSP will not end. It also said that in this case we are also ready to give written assurance from the Ministry of Agriculture.
