Lalu Prasad suffers from "political disease", says Senior BJP leader

On Tuesday, senior BJP leader and former Union Minister CP Thakur mocked RJD chief Lalu Prasad. Thakur said that Lalu Prasad is suffering from a "political disease" and not from any physical disease. He also said that there is no treatment available for this disease in AIIMS.

Thakur's comments taken after the hue and cry made by Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) pioneers here as indicted Lalu Prasad was moved to Ranchi's Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) on Tuesday, a day after he was discharged from AIIMS in Delhi. He was enduring treatment for heart and kidney-related illnesses at the hospital.

According to the reports, Thakur told media: "Lalu has no physical ailment ... he suffers from a political disease, which has no cure anywhere, not even at AIIMS.", quotes TOI.

Worth mentioning here is senior BJP leader and former Union Minister CP Thakur is a well-known physician himself. He is in his mid-80s, said that the theory of conspiracy and political pressure to shift Lalu to Ranchi were all baseless accusations.

On Monday, Lalu's younger son and Leader of Opposition in the Bihar Assembly Tejashwi Yadav said that the choice to shift his father from AIIMS in New Delhi to the Ranchi hospital was part of a plot to kill him. Also in the case, Lalu had also alleged that it was a trick to shift him from AIIMS to Ranchi.
