CPI-ML has announced the names of 19 candidates for the Bihar assembly on Monday. CPI-ML has come out with 19 seats under the formula for seat-sharing in the opposition Grand Alliance. On the left, the CPI (M) and CPI have announced the names of their candidates. Under the seat coordination formula, CPI has got 6 seats and CPI (M) has got 4 seats. RJD has got 144 seats in the Grand Alliance and 70 seats to the Congress. CPI-ML general secretary Dipankar Bhattacharya has presented a list of names of 19 party candidates on Monday. Under which the party has been given a ticket from the same seat to its 3 existing MLAs Mehboob Alam (Banarampur), Satydev RAM (Darauli), and Sudama Prasad (Tarari). Former general secretary of the ISI and JNUSU Sandeep Sourav has been fielded from Paliganj in Patna district.
According to the information received, Bhattacharya said that Alam is the leader of the legislature party in the Assembly while Sudama Prasad is a member of the National Executive Committee of the All India Kisan Sabha. Satydev Ram is the chairman of the state unit of the All India Farm and rural Labour House associated with the party.
With senior party leaders Dhirendra Jha, Rajaram Singh and K D Yadav, Bhattacharya told reporters that the party has given tickets to the youth and farmers, labourers. The party has given a ticket to state secretary Shashi Yadav of the All India Progressive Women's Association from Digha seat in Patna while former MLA Arun Singh has been given a ticket from the Karkata seat.
