New Delhi: Sarfaraz Khan, a celebrity from Mumbai, wed in Jammu and Kashmir's Shopian region. On Sunday, there were numerous videos and pictures of the batter at his in-laws' house wearing his wedding attire. Sarfraz also shared a picture of the newlywed couple on his Instagram account.

“Alhamdulillah married,” said Sarfaraz in his post. Sarfaraz can be seen in pictures that are circulating on social media wearing a black sherwani and participating in different parts of the ceremony. He also talked with a nearby outlet. “The Almighty had decided that it was my destiny to get married in Kashmir. I have received a lot of love here and whenever I have time I will visit here,” he said.

When questioned about why he wasn't chosen for the India team despite his performances in domestic cricket. Sarfaraz said: “The Almighty had written that I would get married here. In the same way if He has written that I will play for India, I will.”

He received many congratulations in the comments section of cricketers' Instagram posts. Indian actors Axar Patel, Umran Malik, and Suryakumar Yadav are among those mentioned. One of the most contentious issues in Indian cricket in recent months has been Sarfaraz's decision to hold off on making his Test debut. Sarfaraz has been one of the most productive batters in the domestic first class circuit for the past four years, despite the fact that he has yet to make an impression while playing for Delhi Capitals in the T20 format of the Indian Premier League.

In the 2022–23 Ranji Trophy season, he amassed 556 runs in six games at an average of 92.66 thanks to three centuries. He scored 982 runs for an average of 122.75 during the 2021–22 Ranji Trophy season.

Sarfaraz's first-class career got off to a rocky start, and he even moved from Mumbai to Uttar Pradesh in a move that didn't exactly pay off. But ever since he returned to Mumbai for the 2019–20 season, he has been on a tear. He scored 301, 226 not out, 78, and 177 runs in that season (2019–20), amassing 928 runs overall for an astounding average of nearly 155. Sarfaraz scored 982 runs in just nine innings the following season (2021/22), averaging 122.75. Sarfaraz scored 556 runs in six innings with an average of 92.66 during the previous Ranji season.

Sarfaraz currently has 3559 runs scored in 39 matches for a first-class average of 74.14 and a remarkable strike rate of 69.59. He has nine half centuries and 13 centuries. Sarfaraz's average at the end of the most recent domestic season was the second highest among first-class batters who have played at least 50 innings, which is where the headline-grabbing claim that he is the best since Bradman comes from.

The highest is the illustrious Don Bradman, who amassed 28,067 runs with 117 centuries and 69 half centuries while maintaining a mind-boggling average of 95.14 over 338 innings.
