New Delhi: After surviving a fatal car accident back in December 2022, Indian wicket-keeper batter Rishabh Pant is giving it all he has at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru. He has even resumed batting to get in shape for national team selection.

Pant was involved in a car accident on December 30, 2017, while en route from Delhi to his hometown of Roorkee. He sustained numerous wounds throughout his body, including a few minor burns.

According to a report, Pant is currently facing 140 kmph deliveries, and in addition to physical training, a lot of time has been spent on his batting.

He has made significant progress in the past few months, has stopped using crutches, and has devoted his entire time to healing.

He obviously missed the ongoing India-West Indies series as well as the ODI series between India and Bangladesh, the home series between India and Sri Lanka, the home series between India and Australia, the Indian Premier League (IPL) in April and May, and the World Test Championship Final (WTC).

He is extremely unlikely to recover in time for the ICC World Cup 2023, which will subsequently be held in India. Prior to that, he will also pass up the chance to compete in the Asia Cup 2023, which Pakistan and Sri Lanka will co-host.

In his recovery, Pant has exhibited incredible tenacity and drive. His admirers and followers have been keeping tabs on his whereabouts in the hopes that he will soon return to amuse them.
