Kasganj: Rumors are often spread on social media which causes some violence. One such case has come up in Kasganj, UP. In the district, a young man was spreading rumours about Child-theft. The police arrested the accused after taking cognizance of the case and registered a case and sent him to jail.

Mukesh Kushwaha son Ashok Kumar, who lives in Gali Nala Gali No. 2 of the city, spread the rumour that the child thief gang was active on WhatsApp group. Wrote that a gang of 50 people have come out who are roaming the city in disguise who can kidnap children. Kasganj police should also increase vigilance. When this message went viral, the Kotwali police became active and forced the search of the accused.

The accused who spread the rumor was found at home. The police has sent the accused to jail on Monday evening. Kotwali in-charge Dinesh Dubey said that the accused was trying to spread panic by spreading rumors. Nowhere is the child thief active. Action will be taken against whoever spreads rumors of thieves. The police is fully alert.
