DUDENHOFEN: At the Internationales Meeting for Sprint u. Omnium, Dudenhofen on Sunday, Indian elite cyclist Ronaldo Laitonjam won silver in the Men's Elite 200m Sprint competition.

In the elite race run by Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI), the international cycling federation, Ronaldo, 28, finished with 180 points to place second to Germany's Marc Jurczyk, who won the gold medal with 200.00 points.
According to data on the UCI website, Tijmen van Loon of the Netherlands won the bronze medal in the field of 22 cyclists with 160.00 points.

Esow Alben, a fellow Indian rider who placed sixth in the same race with 120.00 points, was second.

In the Men's Elite Keirin, Esow placed sixth. In a race won by Marc Jurczyk with 200 points, the 21-year-old Esow came in second with 120.00 points. The track cyclist from the Andaman and Nicobar Islands' top-10 finish bodes well for future competitions since it will boost his confidence.

Tijmen van Loon of the Netherlands took the bronze medal with 160.00 points, in the field that comprised 22 cyclists, as per information available on the UCI website.
