Mumbai: Cyclone Tauktae has wreaked havoc in Maharashtra. Though the storm has now moved forward, the devastation in Maharashtra is now in the news. While 11 people have died and 4 of those who lost their lives are from Raigad district, 2 each from Ratnagiri and Thane, 1 each from Sindhudurg and Dhule. Out of these, 133 sub-stations were repaired at 9 pm on Monday. 1,095 feeders have also been damaged. Out of these, 656 were corrected. ''

According to the Department of Energy, "The cyclone affected power supply in 6349 villages. Out of these, 2,689 villages have been damaged. Work is still underway to fix 16,001 storm affected DTC, 119 high tension and 209 low-tension lines".
