Collins was previously in the news last month for criticizing Novak Djokovic.
WT Chief Executive Officer Carlos Silva said, "We exclude Collins from the rest of the 2020 Team Tennis Tournament due to breaking the Corona Transition Rule and leaving Greenbrier Resort. The rules and safety of our players, coaches, and staff have been communicated to protect, which are extremely important for the WT." Djokovic said that the arrangement of the US Open Grand Slam between the Corona Transition Rule is impossible.

Venus Williams' younger sister Serena Williams is also participating in this tournament and she is going to return to the court from this tournament.
