Bilaspur: In a major incident, the mother of a rape victim has been released from jail after 11 days in Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh. As soon as she came out, the victim's mother said her struggle to get justice for the girl would continue. At the same time, she expressed gratitude to all those Hindu organizations across the state, including Ratanpur, as well as all those who had come out on the streets to fight for her release and justice.

The incident took place in Ratanpur, about 30 to 40 km from Bilaspur. Here a boy of a particular religion went crazy in one-sided love and started harassing the Hindu girl. The boy then raped the girl. Then, fearing to go to jail, the victim's family started pressuring them to settle the case. Subsequently, the victim's mother struggled to get justice for her daughter in the case and eventually the culprit had to go to jail. According to the victim's allegation, as soon as the young man went to jail, his uncle got angry and implicated her in a child sexual abuse case. Then the victim's mother had to go to jail. Then in the whole case, different Hindu organizations started protesting outside the police station with bangles in their hands. Along with this, they registered their protest by taking out a torch rally. The organisations blocked the road and a curfew-like situation prevailed in the area. There were demands to quash the FIR lodged out of vendetta and take action against TI.

Along with this, there was a demand for the release of the victim's mother. After the protest, Superintendent of Police Santosh Kumar had formed a committee to investigate the matter. On Monday, on the basis of the investigation report of the team, the Superintendent of Police has suspended TI Krishnakant Singh. At the same time, a notice has been issued to SDOP Siddharth Baghel. On Monday, under the leadership of the head of the inquiry committee and Additional Superintendent of Police Rahul Dev, the entire facts and events were investigated impartially. It was then presented before Superintendent Santosh Singh. However, the officials have refused to make the investigation report public. Advocate Ashutosh Pandey, on behalf of the victim, had applied for bail for the victim's mother. This was debated on Monday. Advocate Ashutosh Pandey said that the police have made the widow a criminal of POCSO Act and sexual abuse. The woman had lodged a report of rape of her daughter. A counter case has been registered against her in connivance with the police. The police heard their side. After hearing all the parties, the court of Additional Sessions Judge Smita Ratnawat reserved the verdict. While giving the verdict on this this evening, the court has accepted the bail application.
