Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya administration, which is going to hold its executive council meeting after a gap of one-and-a-half-year on November 26, suddenly changed venue of the meeting citing Covid-19 challenges, on Tuesday. The meeting which initially was to be held near VC's office on RNT Marg campus would now be held at EMRC on UTD campus. "Members who were informed about the meeting at RNT Marg campus have now been told about the change in venue," said a university official.

He stated that the venue was changed as social distancing in the conference hall at RNT Marg campus could not be maintained as it is smaller in size. There are about 20 members in the new executive council. Though the conference hall at RNT Marg can accommodate all of them, but if social distancing norm is implemented space will prove to be short for accommodating all the members.

With the rapid growth in Covid-19 cases, implementation of SOPs has become all the more important, the university has decided to change the venue. In a press statement, DAVV media in-charge of Prof Chandan Gupta said that the executive council meeting would be held at 11.30 am in EMRC on Thursday.
