Fugitive underworld don Dawood Ibrahim's brother Iqbal Kaskar was admitted to JJ Hospital in Mumbai after he complained of chest pain on Saturday night. In this regard, the official said that 'Kaskar was taken to the hospital from Taloja Jail in Navi Mumbai last Saturday and is undergoing treatment in the cardiac department of the medical facility. The Enforcement Directorate arrested Kaskar in February this year in a money laundering case.' In fact, the ED had taken Kaskar into its custody from Taloja Jail, where he was lodged in connection with several extortion cases registered against him.

He was later sent to judicial custody. The ED had registered a money laundering case against underworld don and fugitive Dawood Ibrahim and his associates a few months ago for their involvement in financing terror activities. Let us tell you that on 18 September 2017, Maharashtra Police registered a case of extortion against Kaskar, Israr Jameel Syed, Mumtaz Ajaz Sheikh and others. In fact, the gang was accused of extorting extortion from a real estate builder and developer.

The ED had told the court that Iqbal Kaskar used to extort ransom from celebrities and builders by using his brother Dawood Ibrahim's image as a global terrorist. Kaskar is currently in jail after being charged under the Maharashtra Control of Organized Crime Act (MCOCA) with three cases of extortion.
