Surat: Gujarat's Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) has achieved a major feat. Gujarat ATS has detained Abdul Majid Kutty, close to underworld leader Dawood Ibrahim. He was detained from Jharkhand. He was absconding for 24 years.
ATS officers have said that since 1996, the search for Majid was going on. He is a resident of Kerala. According to ATS officers, Abdul Majid Kutty was wanted in the year 1996 in the case of 106 pistols, about 750 cartridges and about four kilograms of RDX Gathering.
According to officials, other criminals were taken into custody in the case. Abdul Majid was absconding since then. The arrest of Abdul Majid, close to Dawood Ibrahim, is considered a major success of the Gujarat ATS.
