New Delhi: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested an assistant director of the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) for accepting a bribe of Rs 30,000 from a person. In fact, a case was registered against the assistant director of DDA for demanding a bribe of Rs 50,000 from the complainant in the name of clearing the file related to the issuance of deed of property in the name of his wife. It was also alleged that after negotiations, the accused had agreed to accept a bribe of Rs 30,000.
In such a situation, the CBI laid a trap and arrested the accused red-handed while taking a bribe of Rs 30,000 from the complainant. After this, checking was also done at three places of the accused. The arrested accused will be produced in Delhi's competitive court. Let us tell you that recently in the national capital Delhi itself, another arrest was made in the bribery case. In Delhi, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) municipal councilor Geeta Rawat was caught red-handed taking bribe by the Anti-Corruption Branch of the CBI.
Bribery was sought for doing government work in Delhi. The accused woman is a councilor from Vinod Nagar ward located in Patparganj assembly constituency of Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia. On Friday afternoon, the CBI carried out this action against Geeta Rawat, councilor of East Delhi's ward number 217/10E West Vinod Nagar. It was learned that Geeta Rawat used to get bribe money through a peanut seller.
