Sirsa: A painful incident is reported on Friday morning near the village Panjuana in Sirsa district on National Highway No. 9. In which two bike riders were killed and one woman was seriously injured. After the information, the Badagudha police reached the spot and sent the body for postmortem. In this regard, police have registered a case against the truck driver and started investigation.
Buta Ram (23), a resident of village Alipur Titukheda, along with his mother Mukhtayar Kaur and friend Chakrayi resident Gurpreet Singh (31), had gone on a bike on Friday's Alsubah to give a wedding card in Bathinda. As the said people approached near Panjuana, there was already an accident of a car and truck on the highway.
A truck driver coming from Sirsa suddenly noticed the accident and put the brake on the truck. Meanwhile, the bike coming from behind hit the truck. In this accident, Bootaram and Gurpreet Singh died on the spot. While the woman was taken to hospital in critical condition. The deceased Bootaram was to be married on September 29, as soon as the news of the accident occurred, the wedding celebration was turned into grief. The truck driver escaped after the incident. The police is engaged in investigation.
