Jammu: Jammu and Kashmir is witnessing a large reduction in Covid cases coming in between 24 hours but the rising death toll has doubled the concerns of health and the state administration. For the first time in the third wave, 15 infected patients died in 24 hours on Monday. In which 10 people have lost their lives from the Jammu division. Most of them had taken both doses of the coronavirus vaccine, although they are having other physical problems even more. A few days ago, 14 people lost their lives in 24 hours. During this period, 2,550 new infected cases have also been detected in the state. Of these, 974 cases have been reported from the Jammu division and 1,576 from the Kashmir division.
The death rate on total infected cases is 1.07%: The infection rate in Jammu and Kashmir currently stands at 8.35%, while the death rate on total infected cases is 1.07%. A 45-year-old man from Panjatirthi in GMC Jammu, a 68-year-old man from Sanjay Nagar, a 64-year-old man from Talab Tillo, a 43-year-old man from Kathua, a 53-year-old man from RS Pura Makhan Pura Gujra have also lost their lives.
Jammu has the highest number of 500 infected cases: One infected patient has also lost his life at Batra Hospital. District Jammu has witnessed the highest number of 500 infected cases. There are currently 4,966 active cases in the district and in the same district, the highest number of 1,205 people have died of coronavirus in the state so far.
It is learnt that 391 cases were detected in Srinagar, 210 in Baramulla, 172 in Budgam, 120 in Udhampur, 53 in Rajouri, 90 in Doda, 11 in Kathua, 14 in Samba, 107 in Kishtwar, 21 in Poonch, 32 in Ramban and 26 in Reasi. 391 in Srinagar, 210 in Baramulla, 172 in Budgam, 225 in Kupwara, 138 in Anantnag, 171 in Bandipora and 140 in Kulgam have been found. At present, there are 36,372 active cases in the state.
