Deepa Karmakar returns to motherland after the grand victory

On Tuesday, the pride of our nation, Gymnast Dipa Karmakar stepped on the land of her motherland after her great victory at the vault event by the FIG Artistic Gymnastics World Cup Challenge Cup in Ankara, Turkey. The gymnast managed to bag a gold medal at the event.
Dipa Karmakar, humbely thanked her coach and also expressed her vote of thanks towards the Sports Authority of India, for supporting and motivating her, all through the journey.

Geeta Karmakar is a 24 years old, Indian athlete who has brought pride to the country by grabbing the fourth position in the vault event during the Rio Olympics, in the year2016. She managed to score 14.150 points in the tournament.
She suffered an unfortunate Anterior Cruciate Ligament injury and was to adviced to rest for a while, before she made a come back.
The Indian authorities have suggested Dipa's name for the Asaian gamed that have been scheduled for August, 2018, that includes the name of 9 other athletes.
Previously, the Prime Minister of our country, Narendra Modi appreciated Deepa for her victory and tweeted, "India is proud of @DipaKarmakar! Congratulations to her on winning a well-deserved Gold in the vault event at the FIG World Challenge Cup in Mersin, Turkey. This win is a prime example of her tenacity and never-say-die attitude."
