New Delhi: The controversy over Delhi CM and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national president Arvind Kejriwal's question of making 'The Kashmir Files' tax-free has escalated. A defamation suit has been filed against him in the Civil Court of Patna. It is alleged that Arvind Kejriwal had made a statement to please people of one religion, which has deeply hurt the religious sentiment of Hindus.
In fact, on the question of making the film tax-free in Delhi, Kejriwal had said that why should it be made tax-free? It is better to put this film on YouTube than to make it tax-free. The film will run completely free there and everyone will watch it. The makers are earning 200 crores by making a film on the tragedy. He had also said that the money of the film's earnings should be invested in the rehabilitation of Kashmiri Pandits. Kejriwal had also mocked the film by calling it a false one, which is being seen to be linked to the satire on the gruesome massacre of Kashmiri Hindus.
Dr Chandra Bhushan Verma, who belongs to the Chitragupta Samaj in Patna, said that Arvind Kejriwal has made unconstitutional statements, which has hurt the people of the Hindu religion. Kejriwal has also made a wrong comment about the country's PRIME Minister Narendra Modi. That's why I filed a lawsuit against them. On Verma's complaint, advocate Jai Prakash Singh has filed a defamation case under Sections 500 and 501 of the IPC in Patna civil court. He says that every effort will be made to bring this complaint case on trial.
