Defense Minister Rajnath Singh reaches Ladakh to take stock of security situation at LAC

New Delhi: Union Defense Minister Rajnath Singh has reached Ladakh on a two-day visit today i.e. on Friday. During this time he will also visit Ladakh and Jammu and Kashmir. He is also accompanied by Chief of Defense Staff (CDS) Bipin Rawat and Army Chief General Manoj Mukund Narwane. On Friday, all will visit Ladakh and on Saturday will check the situation in Jammu and Kashmir.

Before leaving for the two-day visit, Rajnath Singh said that I am going to review the situation on the frontiers and discuss with the armed forces personnel deployed in the area. Rajnath Singh will reach Lukung Post near Pangong Lake in the morning. Then at Leh airport, they will talk to the Air Force personnel and leave for Srinagar at 11.30 am. Although Rajnath Singh was going to visit Leh earlier also in early July. But suddenly his visit was canceled and PM Modi reached Neemu area of Leh district on 3 July.

Let us tell you that this will be the first Defense Minister's visit to Ladakh after the conflict between the Indian and Chinese forces on the Line of Actual Control (LAC) on 5 May. Recently, on the basis of the agreement between the armies of the two countries, the process of removing the forces from the border is now going on. The Chinese army has retreated from Galwan, Pangong area and has given its jawans about two-two km. Took it back.
