Dehradun: Monsoon has hit most parts of the country and it is raining heavily. In Uttarakhand, normal life has been badly affected due to rain in several cities on Monday, and the flood crisis is looming large in many areas.

 

 

People have seen crossing the bridge endangering their lives:-
Meanwhile, a video has surfaced from Dehradun in Uttarakhand where people are trying to cross a temporary bridge with their lives on their palms. The bridge over the Amalwa river in Dehradun city is flowing with strong water, but even then people were seen crossing the bridge in danger of their lives. However, all the persons reach the other side of the river safely.

Yellow alert issued for Uttarakhand:-
The Indian Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rainfall in Uttarakhand even today and issued a 'yellow alert' with a warning for the same. At the same time, suggestions have been made to individuals to stay indoors.

Bike rider shedding in flood in Chamoli:-
In Uttarakhand, a biker was swept away by a strong stream of drains in a flood caused by heavy rains between Tharali and Gwaldam in Chamoli district on Monday. Tharali police station in-charge (SHO) Dhvaj Veer Singh said the motorcycle rider was trying to cross the Lolti drain when the balance of the vehicle was disturbed and it was washed away in the strong water. He said the local people handed over the incident to the police after which a search operation was launched. The bike was stuck about 100 meters ahead, but the man has swept away. He has not been found yet.
