New Delhi: A speeding car hit two vehicles, including an auto, on Delhi's Barapullah flyover late on Friday night. In this accident, the auto rider lost his life and four people, including three members of the family, were injured.
Those present at the spot informed the PCR of Sunlight Colony about the accident. Police, who rushed to the spot, along with Janakjanardan (45), his wife Geeta Bhatt, sons Kartik (18) and Karan (13), who was travelling to the spot, have already sent driver Waqar Alam to AIIMS in a critical condition. Karan (13) was declared dead at the hospital. Geeta Bhatt has been put on a ventilator when her condition is critical. Other people are also undergoing treatment.
According to police, the accident took place with a Tata Nixon car. The speed of the car was so fast that as soon as the collision took place, the wheels of the auto were blown away. South-East Delhi DCP Isha Pandey said that the owner of the car that caused the accident is being searched. Based on the number recorded on the car, the police team has reached the owner and taken further action.
