Voting is going on in the Delhi Assembly. Polling station has polled 41.5 percent till 3 pm. In Delhi, 1.47 crore people are eligible to exercise the franchise, who will decide the fate of 672 candidates. Election officials said that 3.66 percent polling took place in the first hour of polling which started at 8 am. Former Vice President Hamid Ansari and BJP National Secretary Ram Lal stood in a queue outside the Nirman Bhavan polling station in the first hour of polling.

Arvind Kejriwal, Chief Minister and National Convenor of Aam Aadmi Party voted in Rajpura Transport Authority polling station of the Civil Lines area. Kejriwal, contesting from the New Delhi seat, was accompanied by wife Sunita and son Pulkit. He took the blessings of his parents before going to vote. President Ram Nath Kovind, former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, West Delhi MP Parvesh Verma, and Delhi BJP chief Manoj Tiwari also voted. Election results will be announced on 11 February.

Apart from this, former President Pranab Mukherjee also voted. He cast his vote at Kamaraj Lane polling station in New Delhi assembly constituency. At the same time, Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi also voted with her husband Robert Vadra and son Rehan. Rehan exercised the franchise for the first time. Talking to the media after casting the vote, Rehan said that it is good to be involved in the democratic process. Everyone should use their franchise.
