For your information, senior Congress leader and former Delhi Chief Minister Sheli Dixit passed away on July 20 at the age of 81. She was chronically ill and was undergoing treatment at Escort Hospital. Sheila Dikshit, a veteran Congress leader, was the chief minister of Delhi from 1998 to 2013.

Current session of Parliament extended till 7th August

According to media reports, Sheila Dikshit's last rites took place on 21st July (Sunday) at 2:30 pm at Delhi's Nigam Bodh Ghat, but Rahul Gandhi could not attend because he was abroad. Her mother Sonia Gandhi and sister Priyanka Gandhi had joined the last visit and paid a heartfelt tribute to Sheila Dikshit.
