New Delhi: Corona cases in the country's capital Delhi today broke the record of the last 9 months. Today, Delhi has received the highest number of cases of more than 28,000 cases in a day so far. Meanwhile, 31 patients have lost their lives in the last 24 hours. Earlier, on April 20, 2021, 28,395 NA cases were registered in a day. According to the Delhi Health Department, a total of 98832 people were tested positive in Delhi in the last 24 hours, out of which 28,867 have been found positive.

With this, corona infection rate in Delhi has increased from 26.22% to 29.21%. The transition rate was earlier recorded at 29.55% on 3rd May, 2021. With 28867 new cases, the number of corona patients now active in the capital has gone up to 94160. Earlier, there were 96747 active cases in Delhi on 1st May, 2021. According to statistics, 22,121 people recovered and 31 patients lost their lives in a day. Earlier, 40 deaths were recorded on January 12.

The total active cases of corona in Delhi are 94160, out of which 62324 people are undergoing treatment in home isolation, 559 in covid care centre, 41 patients at Covid Health Centre and 2369 in hospitals. The total number of admitted patients in hospitals is 2424, out of which 55 are corona suspected, 2369 are corona positive, 628 corona patients are admitted in ICU, while 768 patients are on oxygen support, out of which 98 patients are also on ventilator. Out of the total patients, 2080 are residents of Delhi and 289 are from outside Delhi.
