New Delhi: The pace of corona in the country's capital Delhi has started to scare again. The infection rate here has reached close to 20 per cent. According to the Health Bulletin of the Delhi Government, 917 new cases of corona have been registered in Delhi on Tuesday. Also, three patients have died. The positivity rate stands at 19.20 per cent. This means that 20 reports are being received positively in every 100 Test matches. After 200 days in Delhi, the positivity rate has become so high. Earlier on January 21, the positivity rate was 21.48 per cent. On that day, 12,306 cases were registered and 43 patients died.

According to the data, less than one thousand have been found infected in the capital after 15 days. However, a major reason for this can also be less testing. Only 4,775 people were tested on Tuesday. Officials say that due to the holiday, people did not come to get tested. Not only in Delhi, but corona cases are also increasing continuously in many parts of the country. Omicron and its sub-variants are responsible for this. The BA.2, BA.2.38, BA.4, BA.5 and BA.2.75 sub-variants of Omicron are increasing infections in the country.

So far, cases of BA.2, BA.2.38, BA.4 and BA.5 were being found, but now cases of BA.2.75 have also started coming up. The study conducted at Delhi's LNJP Hospital has revealed that BA.2.75 sub-variants have been found in half of the patients. According to the news agency, this study was done on 90 patients at LNJP Hospital and half of these people were found infected with the new sub-variant BA.2.75. However, doctors say that these sub-variants have mild symptoms and patients are recovering in 5 to 7 days.
