A Delhi court on Monday announced the sentencing and punishment for actor Rajpal Yadav, his wife Radha Yadav and their company Messrs Shree Naurang Godavari Entertainment for failing to repay a loan of Rs. 5 crores. The court had convicted the actor in the cheque bounce case on April 14.

Delhi's Karkardooma Court sentenced actor Rajpal Yadav to 6 months in prison, later granted bail. There were 7 cases against the actor and he has to pay Rs 1.60 cr fine per case.

 Worth mention here in 2013, Yadav was sent to Tihar Jail from December 3 to December 6 for submitting a false affidavit in the case.

Rajpal Yadav in an earlier interview claimed that Delhi-based businessman Madhav Gopal Aggarwal had seen the rushes of his directorial debut film, Ata Pata Laapata, and decided to invest Rs 5 crore through his company, Murali Projects.

 However, when Yadav failed to repay the agreed amount of Rs 8 crore in return, Madhav Gopal’s company moved the Delhi high court to seek a stay on the film’s release. “

Rajpal Yadav made his acting debut in the 1999 film Dil Kya Kare. The actor, who is most famous for his comic roles, has performed in films like “Main Madhuri Dixit Banna Chahti Hoon”, Kal Ho Naa Ho,” Main, Meri Patni Aur Who”, Malamaal Weekly, “Bhagam Bhag”,” Bhool Bhulaiyaa “and “De Dana Dan”.
