KANNUR (KERALA): Congress MP from Waynad Ms Priyanka Gandhi Vadra gave a willfull ignorant reply on Delhi Assembly polls results that are being declared today.

Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, who landed at Kannur Airport, Kerala,  on Saturday morning, told reporters she had not checked the results of the Delhi Assembly elections yet. When asked about the early trends released by the Election Commission, she simply said, "I don’t know, I have not checked the results yet."

As per the latest trends, the BJP seems to have crossed the majority mark in the Delhi Assembly elections. However, the BJP, which had been in power for 15 years, is trailing in all 70 constituencies of the national capital. In 2013, Congress won eight seats.

The voting for the 70-member Assembly took place on February 5, with a voter turnout of 60.54%. Counting for by-elections in Uttar Pradesh’s Milkipur seat and Tamil Nadu’s Erode seat is also ongoing.

Meanwhile, BJP leads in most Delhi Assembly seats. Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah made a sarcastic comment on social media X after early trends showed losses for both Congress and AAP. He shared a meme and wrote, "Fight amongst yourselves some more."

Abdullah’s remark came after Congress and AAP chose to contest the election separately, despite being part of the INDIA bloc. He had earlier questioned the unity of the INDIA bloc.

Security has been tightened for the counting process. AAP is hoping to win a third consecutive term, while BJP aims to return to power after over two decades in Delhi. Exit polls released on Wednesday showed BJP in the lead, though AAP leaders believe the polls often underestimate their performance. A key race is in New Delhi, where AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal is contesting against Congress's Sandeep Dikshit and BJP's Parvesh Verma.
