New Delhi: Delhi CM and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) supremo Arvind Kejriwal could not go to Singapore even after making a million attempts. It took a long time to get the necessary permissions from the Lieutenant Governor and the Central Government, due to which the time was left to complete the formalities. The AAP government in Delhi has issued a formal statement blaming the central government for this.

The Delhi government in its statement said that the formalities of the Singapore visit were to be completed by July 20, while the Lt Governor returned the file on July 21. On the AAP supremo's visit to Singapore, the Delhi government has issued a statement saying that if CM Kejriwal is not able to attend the World City Summit to be held in Singapore and due to this, the entire country along with Delhi has been humiliated, then only and only the central government is responsible for it. The Delhi government in its statement said that the file regarding permission for CM Kejriwal's visit was given to the Lieutenant Governor (LG) on June 7 itself. But LG sat quietly for about a month and a half and returned the file on July 21. By then, not only were there a lot of delays, but the deadline for completion of travel formalities till July 20 had also expired.

The Delhi government said it was clear from this that the intention of the central government was to prevent the CM from reporting on the international fora about the world-class work done in areas other than education and health in Delhi. The intention of the Central Government may have been fulfilled, but it is also responsible for the way the country has had to look down on the global community.
