No separate provision has been made for the Delhi Metro in the general budget, but there is a proposal to increase the budget of metro projects across the country. In the previous budget, a provision of 19 thousand 152 crore was made for metro projects. Whereas, this time a provision of 20 thousand crores has been made - a major part of this will be spent on the projects of Phase Four in Delhi and Metro expansion in NCR.

According to the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) regarding this matter, the budget of Delhi Metro is included in the amount fixed for metro projects all over the country. Six metro corridors are to be constructed in Delhi in phase four. The total length will be 103.93 km. Three of these corridors have been approved and the construction process has also started. These include Janakpuri West-RK Ashram Corridor, Tughlakabad-Aerocity and Majlis Park-Maujpur Corridor.

For your information, let us tell you that three corridors have not been approved yet. It includes Lajpat Nagar-Saket G Block, Indralok-Indraprastha, Rithala-Narela Metro Corridor. There is a plan to build a metro light corridor between Rithala to Narela. Apart from this, a plan has also been prepared to construct a metro light corridor between Kirti Nagar to Dwarka, in addition to the construction of new metro corridors in Noida and Ghaziabad. It is being told that Delhi NCR will be the biggest beneficiary of increasing the budget of the metro.
