NEW DELHI: Train services were disrupted on Sunday due to technical snag on the Delhi Metro's Magenta line, leaving many passengers stranded at stations for 20 minutes. The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) tweeted, "R.K. Singh' The train operates temporarily on a single line between Puram and Kalkaji." Train services between Puram stations and Botanical Gardens and Kalkaji Metro stations are continuing temporarily.

The disruption sparked outrage among many commuters and triggered sharp attacks on DMRC on Twitter to release information on Twitter instead of platforms. An angry passenger Mukund Sharma retweeted the DMRC tweet saying, "You are updating on Twitter. Do you think everyone keeps watching tweets?"

Another passenger-tested tweeted, "I like R.K. Another passenger, Naresh Kushwah, has said that the DMRC should make announcements at least at stations. There is no official statement from the Delhi government in the matter so far.
