The Thailand division of Yamaha, the world's leading bike manufacturer, launched the 2019 version of yZF-R15 V3.0 in Thailand. In Thailand, the model has been launched in 3 new color options. The bike is available with black and red, grey and yellow and blue and black color schemes. These shades have been launched in Indonesia. Soon they can be launched in India. In India, Yamaha recently launched the ABS variant of its entry level supersport bike YZF-R15 V3.0. The Yamaha YZF-R15 V3.0 ABS Ex-showroom price is priced at Rs 1.39 lakh. Equipped with dual channel ABS, the bike is priced at Rs 12,000 more than the non-ABS variant. Apart from ABS, the company has also introduced the new Darkane Colour scheme, priced at Rs 1.41 lakh. Yamaha has made no mechanical changes in the bike except for the dual channel ABS. The motorcycle features 155cc, SOHC, 4-valve, liquid-cooled, fuel injected engine. The engine produces 19.3hp of power at 10,000rpm and 15Nm of torque at 8,500rpm. It comes with a 6-speed transmission.

The sports bike is equipped with slipper clutch, gearshift light with digital multi-functional instrument cluster, LED headlight and LED taillight. The Darkanite Colour Scheme variant is actually a matte-black finish, which Yamaha has introduced on its other two-wheelers such as FZ, Sluto RX and Ray ZR. Yamaha is also scheduled to launch a new two-wheeler on January 21.
