New Delhi: A mother of two young children was strangled to death in front of two young children in Delhi's Narela area. The incident is being reported on Saturday (June 3) afternoon. The deceased has been identified as 34-year-old Neha. At present, Narela police have registered a case of murder against unknown persons.

According to media reports, Pawan, a resident of Bihar, lives in a rented house in Swatantra Nagar. A month ago, he had come here with his wife Neha, seven-year-old son and five-year-old daughter. Pawan works in a tobacco company in Safiabad. He had left home for work at around 8 am on Saturday as usual and returned home at 6 pm. When he returned home, the door was half open. It was dark inside the room and when he switched on the lights, he found his wife lying on the ground. She  was bleeding from her nose and there were injury marks on the neck. Both children were sitting on the bed. After this, Pawan called the PCR and informed about the incident.

After receiving the information, the police reached the spot and took possession of the body and sent it for postmortem. The police officer has informed that the woman has been strangulated to death. However, the deceased had also resisted, due to which she has suffered injuries. So far, the police is investigating the case due to the possibility of robbery and mutual enmity. However, no items are missing from the house. The police are scanning the CCTV footage to trace the accused.

Pawan said that he was working in Delhi leaving children in the village. The children are growing up, so the wife also brought them to Delhi for better education. He was soon going to get the children admitted to the local government school. But, within a month of coming to Delhi, his family was devastated.
