New Delhi: For the last few days, the sunlight in Delhi NCR has given some relief to the people from the cold, but the pollution in the atmosphere is still intact. On Sunday, the air quality in Lodhi Road area of Delhi was recorded between 260-264, which falls in the poor category. Although the level of pollution has declined today, according to Saturday, the situation is worrying. At the same time, 26 trains of Northern Railway were delayed due to lack of visibility on Sunday morning. It was sunny in Delhi NCR from around 9 am on Sunday for the fifth consecutive day. People were seen coming out of their homes and enjoying the sunshine, but the worry of pollution still remains. It may be known that since last Friday, due to strong winds, the fog has been cut off and there is strong sunshine every day.

The meteorological department says that on Friday, pollution had reduced considerably compared to the previous days and the AQI had come down by 131 points. On Saturday too, bright sunshine started blooming since morning, which lasted till four in the evening. The air quality index (AQI) was recorded at 298 on Saturday. It is being speculated that if the sun continues to blossom in this way, then the environment of the city may become completely clean in the coming days.

For your information, let us tell you that due to the blossoming sunshine, the minimum temperature in Delhi NCR is now being recorded between 8-10 degrees Celsius. On Saturday too, the minimum temperature was recorded at 8 degrees Celsius. Even in the night time, people have got relief from the severe cold. Till a week ago, people did not want to get up from the bonfire and heater, while now people are giving their time openly in daily chores.
