Delhi Police asked for time to file reply on Deep Sidhu's bail plea

New Delhi: Deep Sidhu's bail application was heard in the Tis Hazari court. Delhi Police told the court that they need some time to file a reply on Deep Sidhu's bail plea. Just hours after he was granted bail by the court in the January 26 violence case, Delhi Police arrested him in connection with the damage to the historic building (Red Fort), in the same case today, deep Sidhu had filed a bail plea.

Hearing Deep Sidhu's plea, the court said that he has been in jail for the past 70 days and file his reply by 10 am tomorrow. The petition will be heard again in the Tis Hazari court from 11.30 pm on April 24. The Delhi police yesterday sought permission from the court to examine Deep Sidhu's voice sample in the case. The court accepted the police's plea and allowed deep Sidhu's voice samples to be taken.

The Tis Hazari court had yesterday directed the jail administration to produce it as per the facility of CFSL which can be tested for voice samples.
