Delhi Police denies permission for radical outfit PFI rally

New Delhi: The Delhi Police has not given permission to the Popular Front of India (PFI) rally scheduled to be held today (July 30) on Saturday. In fact, the radical Islamic organisation PFI was supposed to organise 'Save Republic' at Ambedkar Bhawan in Jhandewalan, Delhi. The Delhi Police's decision comes after a letter written by the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) urging them to stop the rally proposed by the PFI in Delhi.

In a letter to the Delhi Police on July 29, VHP leader Surendra Kumar Gupta claimed that the PFI was carrying out suspicious activities across the country and they should not be allowed to hold any rally in Delhi. In his letter to the Delhi Police, Gupta said, "On July 30, at around 2.30 pm, the PFI is organizing a programme at Ambedkar Bhawan. The organization is carrying out suspicious activities across the country. The investigation is underway to find out its involvement behind the violent incidents that took place in several states in the country. Such activities on the occasion of Independence Day can spoil the atmosphere in the capital.''

Another VHP leader, Vinod Bansal, retweeted the letter on his Twitter handle and wrote, "VHP will never allow the anti-national activities of the PFI. We have written to the Delhi Police to stop it immediately. Earlier on July 7, the Telangana unit of the BJP had urged the Union Home Ministry to ban the "radical organisation" following the arrest of four of its leaders in Nizamabad.'' BJP chief spokesperson K Krishnasagar Rao had said, "The agenda of the PFI, confessed to the police by the arrested suspects, is extremely volatile and fatal for the religious harmony and social integrity of this country." These radicals themselves confess that they are training hundreds of youth against the Hindu community, a serious conspiracy to destabilise the country. Let me tell you that some documents were also recovered from the possession of the PFI members caught from Phulwari Sharif in Bihar, which had full details of the conspiracy to make India an Islamic country by 2047.
