New Delhi: The year 2020 has taken off from the world. People are welcoming the new year 2021 in their own style. In the midst of New Year celebrations, winter is also wreaking havoc. In many areas, the cold weather has been seen on the very first day of the new year. The temperature in Delhi dropped to 1.1 degree Celsius. This is the lowest in the last 14 years. In the morning, dense fog also enveloped many areas.

Visibility was also reduced due to dense fog, due to which the speed of traffic was also affected. Even after the cold weather, people are leaving their homes in good numbers and celebrating the new year. The country's capital, Delhi, is experiencing a cold winter. Delhi's Safdarjung recorded a minimum temperature of 3 degrees Celsius on Friday. According to the Meteorological Department, the temperature in Safdarjung may further fall. The temperature has been predicted to drop to 4.2 degree Celsius in 24 hours.

Palam, another area of Delhi, recorded a temperature of 4.6 degrees Celsius. The temperature is expected to drop to 4.2 degree Celsius in 24 hours. The Meteorological Department had already predicted dense fog and severe winter on the celebration of New Year.
