New Delhi: Former Congress National President Rahul Gandhi and Party General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi were going to meet the family members of Hathras gang-rape victim on Thursday. However, the police did not allow both Congress leaders to go beyond Greater Noida. But Rahul Gandhi was adamant about going to Hathras. During this time there was a scuffle between the police and Congress workers.

Meanwhile, Delhi Women's Congress chief Amrita Dhawan has accused the UP police of ripping off her clothes. He says that after arresting Rahul Gandhi, UP police started scrambling with Congress workers. Amrita said that about 200 to 300 policemen raided together and tore people's clothes. He has alleged that the UP police has torn his clothes too.

Many Congress leaders have also shared the picture of Amrita Dhawan's torn clothes on social media. However, Noida Police has denied these allegations. Noida's DCP (Women's Safety) Vrinda Shukla said that I was present there in this whole demonstration. A large number of women police personnel were stationed there. No such work has been done by Noida Police against the dignity of any woman.
