Maharashtra: Delta Plus Variant's 4 patients found in Thane

Thane: The corona crisis in Maharashtra is deepening again these days. In fact, as per the recent information received, 4 delta plus variant patients have been found in Thane adjoining Mumbai. With patients being received every few days, there are now 49 delta plus variant patients in the state. Amidst all this, Health Minister Rajesh Tope has called upon these patients to get treatment without panic. The corona in Thane was able to be controlled to a great extent but now suddenly delta plus, the most dangerous variant of the corona, has added to everyone's woes.

As soon as four patients were found here, there was a stir. If we look at the municipal areas, out of these, 3 thane municipal corporations and 1 Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation have come to light. There are 2 patients below the age of 25 years and 2 patients under the age of 56 years. As per the information received, two of these 4 patients are women and these four patients have been treated and released home. All those who have come in contact with them are now being searched and tested. District surgeon Kailash Pawar has given details in this regard.

A total of 45 Delta Plus variants are reported to be patients in the State by Health Minister Rajesh Tope. However, with 4 cases of delta plus variant found in the Thane district, the number has gone up to 49. The list includes 29 men and 20 women. Apart from Thane, delta plus variants have been found in Mumbai, Pune, Aurangabad, Jalgaon, and Ratnagiri in the state. On the other hand, despite the growing concern of delta plus variants in the state, state education minister Rajesh Tope has appealed to citizens not to panic.
