Lucknow: Shriram Gond, BJP booth chief of Bharia village under Gauri Bazar of Deoria, Uttar Pradesh, committed suicide by hanging himself with the help of a rope in a tree outside the village. In the suicide note found by the police, excessive debt has been cited as the reason for this suicidal decision. Police have taken the body into possession and sent it for post-mortem. According to the information received, Jagdish Gond, son of Shriram Gond (40), resident of Bharia village of Gauribazar area, was the head of BJP's booth number-6. Woke up on Monday morning and left for the field outside with the rope. Hanged himself in a rosewood tree with the help of a rope.

When the villagers passed by, they raised an alarm on seeing the dead body hanging from the rosewood. After which a crowd of villagers gathered on the spot. Police took the body into possession and sent it for post-mortem. It is said that he also used to work as an agent in other companies including LIC to make a living. The depositors were demanding their money as some chit-fund companies fled. To pay for this, Shri Ram Gond had also sold about fourteen bags of farmland and now hanged himself under stress.

It is being told that a suicide note has also been recovered from Shriram's pocket. On which it is written that there is no other earner in his house. His life is under stress due to high debt. Police are investigating after taking the suicide note in its possession. Shriram has two daughters Roshni, Shrishti and a son Ashish. Being an active member of the BJP, he was working hard for the upbringing of the children. In the meantime, because of not able to bear the pressure of the financial crisis, he committed suicide. On the death of Shri Ram, the wife Poonam and the family members were in a bad condition.
