Dhoni seen reading 'Shrimad Bhagwat Geeta' before knee surgery, operation successful

New Delhi: Former India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni has undergone a successful knee surgery. He underwent a surgery at Kokilaben Hospital in Mumbai on Thursday (June 01). But, a picture of him before the surgery is going viral, in which Dhoni is seen reading Bhagavad Gita in the car. Chennai Super Kings (CSK) captain MS Dhoni reached the hospital on Wednesday (May 31). It is being told that he will also be discharged in 1-2 days.


The entire season has been painful for Mahendra Singh Dhoni after getting injured in his first match of IPL 2023. In many matches, he was also seen limping behind the wicket. Even in the final match, Dhoni was seen wearing a bandage on his knees. Immediately after winning the title match, Dhoni decided to undergo surgery on his knees. He was admitted to Kokilaben Hospital on Wednesday (May 31) evening. Dhoni's wife Sakshi was also with him. There have been some pictures in media reports, in which Dhoni was reading Bhagavad Gita before the knee operation. In the picture, Dhoni is seen sitting in the car with Bhagavad Gita in his hand. It is being told that this picture of him is before the surgery.  


Captain Cool's knee surgery has been done by Mumbai's famous orthopedic doctor Dinshaw Pardiwala. Pardiwala is also part of the BCCI medical panel. CSK CEO Kashi Viswanathan has said that he has spoken to Dhoni after the operation. He has said that Dhoni's knee operation has been successful and his condition is improving rapidly. After winning the final match of Tata IPL 2023, Dhoni had expressed hope to play one more season of IPL for his fans. Now they will have enough time to get fit.
