Abu Dhabi: Chennai Super Kings (CSK) captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni, who insisted on improving small things after losing three consecutive matches, said after a 10-wicket win against Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) in Dubai on Sunday that his team managed to correct small things.

Chasing a target of 179 runs, CSK led the unbeaten partnership of 181 runs for the first wicket between Faf du Plessis (unbeaten 87) and Shane Watson (unbeaten 83) to win by 181 runs without losing wickets in 17.4 overs. Watson had three sixes and 11 fours in his innings of 53 ball, while du Plessis faced the 53 balls with 11 fours and a six.

Dhoni said "After his team's resounding victory, I think we corrected small things. We got the beginning we needed. Hope that they will be able to replicate it in the forthcoming matches". In the context of Watson's innings, Dhoni said "Watson was hitting the ball very well on the net and you have to repeat it on the pitch. It is a matter of time. Faf plays the anchor role for us and puts up good shots in the middle overs".
