The 2020 calendar of the Diamond League has been released. This year two tournaments have been canceled, while some have been pushed forward.
The canceled tournaments include the Meet the Paris and Prefontine Classic. The meeting de Paris was to be held on September 6. According to the organizers, there is no time to organize this world-class tournament because the French government has banned the events of the big tournament.
The prefontine classic, to be held on October 4 in Eugene, US, has also been canceled as people are not allowed to gather in large numbers and traffic restrictions will also make the event difficult. The Muller Grand Prix to be held on 16 August in Britain will not be on the due date. Local organizers have set a new date for September 12, although they are unable to confirm it at this time. According to World Athletics, the 2020 calendar of the Diamond League is tentative and subject to change.
