GUWAHATI: Some media reports had claimed that the Adani Group has issued a contract to a company named 'Pranam' at the Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport and a dress code rule has been issued by the company in which all female employees will be allowed to wear western clothes. Dresses are asked to wear skirts and suits.
As per the new rule, women employees cannot wear mekhla chadar (traditional dress of Assam), bangles, mangalsutra and also sindoor while on duty at LGBI airport. Dismissing all these claims, the Guwahati International Airport (GIA) authority has confirmed through its official Twitter handle that any female employee of 'Pranam' service at Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport will be asked to avoid traditional clothing and ornaments. has not been said.
