The parents of the deceased woman have registered an FIR named against 8 persons including her husband.

According to the received news, the incident is of Ishwarpura village under Karnamepur OP of Shahpur police station area of Arrah, Bihar. Birendra Singh's 25-year-old daughter Lovely Kumari was married to Jaigovind Singh alias Bhuteli Singh, son of Ram Avtar Singh, a resident of Ishwarpura village in Bhojpur district, on 11 December 2020. Birendra is basically a resident of Bikramganj Baluahi village of Rohtas district. After marriage, everything went well for a few months, then the in-laws started demanding a Bullet bike from Lovely. Husband, mother-in-law, father-in-law, sister-in-law, brother-in-law, and sister-in-law were continuously torturing Lovely by demanding dowry and even beating her. Lovely had given information about the demands and harassment of her in-laws many times to her parents. But, due to the fear of society and being from a poor family, they did not complain to the police.

According to Birendra Singh, the father of the deceased woman Lovely, the in-laws killed the daughter on February 16, but we were not even aware of the incident. When we came to know about this, we lodged a complaint at Karnamepur OP police station. But, when we reached the daughter's in-laws' house with the police, we saw that there was no one at home. Also, the dead body of the daughter was not there. The whole family has fled after the murder and the dead body of the daughter has also disappeared. Father Birendra Singh said that an FIR has been lodged against 8 persons, including the daughter's husband Jaigovind Singh alias Bhuteli, for murder on demand of dowry and disappearance of a dead body for the purpose of erasing evidence. The police are yet to find the dead body of the daughter and the culprit in-laws. We demand that the dead body of the daughter should be found as soon as possible and the culprit in-laws should be arrested and punished severely.
