Mumbai: In times of corona crisis, while the Centre to the state governments and all the Samajsevi organizations are helping the people, there are many people who are cheating people in this disaster and filling their pockets. Now, recently, one such case has come to light from Nagpur, Maharashtra. In fact, a private hospital here has charged different prices from many patients for the same type of corona test. As soon as the matter is reported, nagpur municipal corporation has asked the hospital to pay Rs 10 to 92 patients. The hospital is said to have charged these 92 patients different prices for the same Covid-19 test.

Now, after receiving information about this, nagpur municipal corporation has taken action against the hospital and issued notice to it asking it to pay Rs 10 lakh to 92 patients. At the same time, action will be initiated against the hospital under sections of the Epidemic and Disaster Management Act and the Maharashtra Essential Services Amendment Act. Talking about the entire case, Jalaj Sharma, an official of Nagpur Municipal Corporation, said, "Radiance Hospital charged 92 patients admitted in Corona ward for different types of corona tests. The NMC had issued a notice to the hospital on May 20 seeking clarification on the different rates of fees, but no response was given by the MNC on behalf of the hospital. 

Further, he said, "A committee was constituted by the municipal corporation to look into the allegations against the hospital. The committee upheld the allegations levelled against the hospital on May 25. After the report, the hospital has now been asked to return 10 lakh 32 thousand 243 rupees to all the 92 patients and their relatives".
