New Delhi: Modi government is starting flight service from many cities of the country to big cities under the Udaan scheme i.e. Uda Desh Ka Aam Nagrik Citizen Scheme. In this sequence, today, a direct flight service has been started from Delhi, the capital of the country, to Bareilly, which is included in the big cities of Uttar Pradesh. Union Civil Aviation Minister Hardeep Singh Puri flagged off this first flight. Union Labor and Employment Minister and Bareilly MP Santosh Gangwar was also present on the occasion.

Civil Aviation Secretary Pradeep Singh Kharola, Air India CMD Rajeev Bansal, Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Civil Aviation Usha Padhi were also present. The flight schedule will be like this - Flight number 9I701 will fly from Delhi at 8:55 AM, which will land on its floor at 10 AM. At the same time, flight number 9I702 will fly from Bareilly at 10:25 AM which will land at the airport at 11:25 AM.

Bareilly airport was upgraded for commercial use under the regional connectivity scheme of the Central Government. Bareilly Airport has been developed for commercial use, a part of Trishul Military Airbus. Trishul Military Airbase Regional comes under the Indian Air Force. For its civil use, it was given land to the Airport Authority of India, so that flight services could be started for the general public.
